Mounted on a large linen chest with a solid wood top that was underserved by a flimsy elevator. A Vocomo lift solved the problem. I like that the gas spring is well sealed and its design makes it easy to install.

Needed reinforced hinges for new garbage can situation. They support the weight of the 3x4 T1-11 sheet and hopper/hopper lid. Saves us the trouble of holding a large wooden lid while throwing things away. Was a little skeptical whether the small screws supplied would hold, but so far so good. Decided to buy 4 more after the first 2 worked so well. (with 2 per cap)

This product has 5 stars. Statement 0/5. I used the exact measurements given in the instructions. Didn't work, not even close. Approximately 25 degree angle to the left with the lid open. If you don't like geometry and creating multiple holes in one product, I advise you to stay away. I finally installed it. I scheduled 15 minutes for the installation and spent about 1 hour with trial and error.

It didn't work, the lid is still slamming shut. I have a nice heavy toy box that my aunt gave me, but the lid is so heavy that the child hurts when it bangs. I have hinges for a closer. No! Didn't work, starts soft and slow, you BAM, slams. I waited too long to install, so my return window has already expired. So I have no money and am looking for something that will work for sure. Also, the instructions are terrible. My husband and I just had to find out for ourselves.

The instructions for this product are a complete mess. They are fuzzy, small and confusing which can be life saving because as far as I can tell they are wrong too. The pattern included at the end of the guide is hard to decipher and doesn't scale well either, so even if you figure out how to use it, it won't work. This product, a pack of two, was used to hold a 55lb cap. So far we've had it two days and it's doing its job well. The installation instructions were useless. The lid does not open completely, but only at an angle of 45 degrees. The supplied screws were too short for the top. They literally popped out within seconds of installing. I bought these for a kids play set. I made raised beds to keep my chickens and other wild animals from eating our vegetables. Each of the lids are 5ft x 4K and due to the wood and machine fabric, the lids are not lightweight. I wanted to add something to hold the lids while gardening. I tried two simple plungers but the weight was too much and the lids slowly started to close after a few minutes and then suddenly fell off. Very dangerous. So I bought these reinforced Vocomo hinges and mounted them on the hitches. They work great.
