Review on πŸ”΄ EBC Brakes DP31254C Redstuff Low Dust Ceramic Brake Pads by Dominic Ceo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Can't ask for a better one for heavy daily commuting

I get very little dust from them and have been using them for 3 years, 40k miles in the front, 1.5 years, 15k miles in the back on my 2006 Acura RSX Type-S. I have machined aftermarket wheels and it takes about 3 months of riding (daily) before they have enough dust to "need" to wash them. No squeaks or squeaks like ceramics should. Also, as expected, there is no wear on either rotor to which they were connected when installed. Their initial bite is not sharp, which allows them to ease braking in everyday driving, but they will stop you quickly (much faster than OEM, Hawk, Duralasts). ) when they're warmed up and fumbling around. In just a few minutes of driving, they heat up enough to handle the pressure well. (For more serious riding I usually warm them up with a few harder presses.) I've never experienced fade, on the other hand I don't brake or brake constantly - even for miles on the road (brake harder, catch your breath). I chose these as my lasts for daily, occasional track and canyon use. I also went yellow for a sister car, a 2009 Acura RDX.

Pros
  • Perfect European car brake upgrade
Cons
  • Fine
