got this part for my sister in law's 2002 Taurus DOHC. The description said it wouldn't fit but I thought it would and it fit great. Now it appears to be a slightly thicker design than the OEM but only time will tell for sure but with the price difference and only 20 minutes to replace it you can't go wrong. thanks again amazon
