The lock is definitely strong. Runs smooth and I like the three buttons. I have a fat RAD Rover tire with fenders. This lock prevents you from running a "U" through the back rail and attaching it to a pole. It has more to do with the huge tires and fenders. I found a way to secure the frame and rear tire with a cable. I still have a cable lock for the front wheel. Double trouble for a potential thief. I never leave my e-bike anywhere for more than a few hours. I am confident in its safety. In general, a quality part that works perfectly. I found a unique way to install a lock on my RAD Rover. I mounted it on the luggage rack. Since this pipe is smaller, I cut off a small piece of garden hose to make up for the difference in size. The latch is now removed and secured for transport. The mounting bracket can be adjusted to different angles. Can not match price and shipping. I recommend.
