Review on πŸ”§ Nanch Precision Screwdriver Set: 22-in-1 Multi-Function Repair Tools with Magnetic Driver Bits - Ideal Pocket Toolset for Electronic Devices. by Rory Stice

Typical Nanch quality but not perfect

This set is typical Nanch quality so I just want to point out what disappoints me. Firstly, as can be seen in the attached image, the tang extension does not have a medium length locking groove so it can only be used fully extended or fully retracted unlike the product images which show the extension with a medium length groove. Not critical, but disappointing given my previous experience with Nanch tools. Second, they are slot nozzles, which are incompatible with other driver grips. I understood their intention as described to improve a small inaccuracy in the hex interface, but in practice the improvement is negligible and not worth the loss of compatibility with my other drivers. ------------- --------------- UPDATE July 15, 2019: Nanch contacted me to let me know that "we now have an updated driver having no medium length lockout nut allows you to freely choose the length of the extension pole, it can be stopped at any position on the pole and while I can see the reason for this, the execution just doesn't exist. Before I wrote my first review , I have actually tried using a screwdriver with different "tab" lengths and I have found that if even the slightest bit of pressure is applied to the handle's rotating cap, the extension will slip off.. Whole point of a rotating cap is that you can apply just the right amount of pressure to the rider when turning, but applying pressure belies the infinitely adjustable design Nanch touts, in practice this fails and it would be better left as is it is, or he maybe with more locking grooves. There is still a groove to lock the extender at the maximum length, which is odd when the design is really strong enough to keep the extender locked at any desired length. Maybe my recoil grip is a variance and the design is solid, but with only one example of one of them to draw conclusions from, I'm not convinced that removing the groove is a win.
