I have a metal door to an apartment in New York that is black on the outside and white on the inside. I had previously purchased a standard white door brush which I used on the inside of the door but I could still smell the food coming out the hallway. But now that I've put this black door insulator on the outside black (and made it nice and flush with the floor) I don't feel a thing! Yes! It's easily the best gasket option so you don't need one on either side of the door, but I would recommend installing it on the outside door so you don't see it or have to deal with its small volume on the inside of the door. .
