Review on πŸ”΅ Wagner QuickStop ZD707 Ceramic Disc Brake Pads by Andrew Mack

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Smaller pad contact area than premium pad

These pads are probably good but after seeing them I decided to stick with the Wearever Platinum Ceramic pads; You can recognize these and similar premium pads by the diagonal slits. Platinum pads take up significantly more storage space, at least initially. Wagner pads have a large taper, therefore the contact area with the pads is smaller at the beginning and gradually increases with wear. To me, a smaller contact patch means less stopping power, but Wagner might argue otherwise. Since we had done about 60,000 miles in the suburbs with little to no rims from the latest Wearever Platinum set, I changed my mind and decided to stick with them rather than save a few bucks with Wagner Quikstops. I'm adding a star because they come with hardware - kudos to this Wagner!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Durable
