This brake controller works very well. The brakes on my trailer are now proportional and smooth, making them more controllable than my previous brake controls. If your car has a tether, you can install this device within half an hour. A pigtail wire harness is also available if you need to customize your custom configuration. It has a snazzy looking screen, but it doesn't really need to. Installation can be a bit of a challenge. Instead of hand-tight plastic clip screws, it is attached with conventional screws. You'll have to see if you can attach the screwdriver to the side it's mounted on or try to mount the bracket with the controller on it. You can use a wrench on the side screws if needed. It would be nice if the braid was included. Custom and bare wire harnesses are inexpensive, but you can't install them right away.
