Very difficult to get a good sharp edge

This knife is made with a very narrow, double bevelled edge which makes it very difficult to sharpen properly. To get the single bevel so important to a grafting knife you would have to bring one side, or the other, down to the point that there is no secondary bevel and then on the other side bring the bevel up the blade maybe a 16th of an inch or so. Basically, you are looking for a chisel edge, on your chosen side. It would also, in the future need to be sharpened like a chisel.on the bevel only. Or.better still, just buy a knife that's already made like that.Without modifications, or lots and lots of sharpening you will have to lower your expectations as to what constitutes a 'sharp' knife. The 'aluminum' tags also suck.or first rain storm bent them all up, rendering them pretty much unreadable. Just aluminum foil over thin, soft foam.

Pros
  • It arrived just as advertised on the ad
Cons
  • The knife may be difficult to clean and maintain, leading to reduced effectiveness over time
