Review on Sensor Toyota 4Runner Tacoma Cruiser by Michael Ward

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works and fits perfectly

I don't usually buy stuff with so few reviews but with next day delivery I took a chance. I wasn't sure which sensor on my car was faulty and replaced them with new ones but the ABS and BRAKE warning lights would not go out and in previous experiences the lights would go out without the need for a reset. I used a multimeter and measured the resistance of the existing sensors, one of them was open. I measured the resistance of these new sensors and they were quite high compared to the factory sensor and polarized so it showed an opening in one direction and high resistance in the other. The light is still on. He gave up and left. and when I was driving the next day I found that the headlights had gone out. Perhaps the sensor is slightly different from the factory sensor which resulted in a bit of driving (putting data into the computer to turn the lights off?) and this could have been solved by simply rotating the tyre/wheel. I do not know. Given this unknown and varying resistance I can give them 4 stars but the fact that they worked and I was able to buy a full set of 4 sensors for a fraction of the price of a single OEM sensor I give them 5 stars. Let's see how well they hold up over time.

Pros
  • Speed sensors
Cons
  • Reliability
