Review on 🏍️ Enhance Your Polaris Sportsman ATV with Extreme Max 5600.3160 Winch Mount! by Sheppard Priest

I purchased this based on another review saying it would fit her 2016 Polaris 570 Sportsman. This bracket will only work if the winch is installed upside down (base of winch up). It looks like it will need to be installed this way for all model years as well, as the installation instructions in the illustrations state that it needs to be installed with the winch upside down. It is also shown in the Revain picture with the winch mount base bolts above (reversed). My Superwinch's owner's manual specifically states that it must NEVER be installed upside down as this could damage it and void your warranty. When the bracket is inverted so that the winch is properly installed (the winch base is on the bottom), the curved lip on the back of the bracket rests against the front differential. The edge hit my differential before the bolt holes in the frame lined up. There was about 1/2 inch of interference (significant). As this is a low price I decided to modify the mount so that it can be installed with the base of the winch down (properly). I had to sand/cut about 1/2" of the edge to clear the diff. Once I did that she came over to me and allowed me to properly position the winch baseplate down. The edge is in either case behind the weld. I'm not sure if it will work with the Glacier snow plow now as the two screw holes listed in the Glacier system installation guide now face up instead of down. I use one Cycle Country mid frame plow so I don't care and those two bolt holes are not used.Another problem is that the Superwinch 1135220 Terra 35, 3500lb doesn't fit in the bracket.The body of the Terra 35 is about 1/4 in diameter inches larger. This mount is advertised for winches up to 3600 lbs, which is not true. I had to cut and enlarge the brace by welding on some extra metal to allow more room for the Terra 35 go to create mice.
