Review on Miele Type IntensiveClean Plus FilterBags by Emily Baker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too expensive, not entirely hypoallergenic and not very bulky.

Miele is my husband's favorite vacuum cleaner and he loves everything about it. It's not my favourite, but to each his own. The only thing I don't like are the pockets. Not only are they expensive, but they don't pick up much dirt, dust, and pet hair. When my big dog throws, it's almost necessary to go over the carpet and floor with another vacuum cleaner. Mind you, these bags are pretty well made, but they do have their drawbacks. I won't throw Miele away, but use it sparingly from time to time. When I put Miele bags in there, there isn't much space in the canister. They tend to fold and when I try to adjust the bag during use I sometimes get a bit of dust. They fill to the brim and won't switch off Miele when they're almost full. My Electrolux Silverado does exactly that and it can be annoying. I often like to use normal bags, but I haven't seen one for this vacuum cleaner. Miele is a really good vacuum, but the bags take away from the experience, if you can call it that. They are not hypoallergenic like some and I don't think those cloth bags are needed. They look like they could be reused, but who the heck wants to empty a vacuum bag? It's just a regular vacuum bag, but it would be nice if they were less expensive and eco-friendly. I doubt they will dissipate quickly in a landfill.
