Review on πŸš— Maxsa 37355 Parking Guard Tire Stopper: Enhance Parking Security with Advanced Features by Kevin Parker

Great idea, bad grip

When I saw this I thought it would be the perfect solution for garage parking my Prius. I've owned this car for a while but I'm still having trouble figuring out the maximum depth I need to reach to park safely. Made from durable plastic, this elevated stopwatch seemed like the perfect solution. The product comes in a box; Two yellow warning stickers remain in the box for use. I think some (like me) would prefer this stop to be unobtrusive and prefer not to apply decals. I think the sticker server made the bus stop more visible to minimize the risk of tripping. The only problem I had with this brace was how it was attached to the floor. On the back of the stopper is a durable 3M double-sided tape. Basically, you should carefully clean your concrete floor, then clean and stick the plug. However, the concrete floor in my garage is actually 30 years old. It is in excellent condition considering its age, but getting the concrete clean enough for the tape to stick to the concrete is quite difficult. I suspect I'll have to put some type of epoxy on the back of the stop to get it installed more permanently, but if I do I'll have trouble removing or moving it when I buy another car. I like the concept here too. and I am currently using a non-ground abutment and it seems to be working well. My problem with the product is that I can't get the concrete clean enough to make a strong connection to the ground.
