Review on 🔒 Erickson 34415 Pro Series Black Ratchet Tie-Down Straps, Pack of 2, 1-Inch x 10-Foot by Ben Diesel

I bought several of these to mount my 215 lb motorcycle to a hitch mount bike rack. However, if you overtighten (which is often necessary to keep your load from swinging) the trigger mechanism will stop working! I pressed the red button as hard as I could with two thumbs, but didn't let go. I literally had to use pliers just to get the strap off and basically ruined the trigger with any future use. I have 6 of these, 3 no longer work. I would say I used them a total of 10 times before this happened. And it can be quite frustrating when you're trying to take your bike off, but you've got a stubborn strap; Especially if you don't have pliers to really squeeze the daylight out of the shutter. I spent 20 minutes just trying to unblock one of these. That issue aside (which is a problem for me and also for you if you overtighten) they appear to be of high quality and allow you to tighten without too much play. I won't buy them again. It's also worth noting that I bought a competitor's belt from a local dealership and ran into the same issue. Maybe it's the overall design? Hope it's not user error!
