Countersink too small for dowels and can crack deck boards if you try to hammer hardwood or bamboo: Bit: .315" Ipe Male: .345" Dasso Male : 0.355 inch . After drilling TEN of holes in my new deck, none of the end caps from two separate sets of end caps fit in the holes. If you clog the plugs, the tree will split. Since plugs are always oversized I now have to find a new countersink and then try to carefully drill all the existing holes without hitting the cover screw underneath - what a nightmare! Hours of work to fix this horrible product which had severely damaged the expensive flooring underneath. I would give zero stars if I could!
