As already mentioned, this is not a high-temperature instantaneous water heater. This is a heater tape designed for use in a RV air conditioner. Expect NO heating performance from it. It's not designed for that. It is designed to gently heat your RV using a fan in your air conditioner that moves MUCH more air through the ducts/fans in the ceiling than a heater. Depending on the outside temperature/wind/design of your motorhome, it may not be able to handle it. It's mounted in a 43-foot Recreation by Design fifth wheel on a mid-AC (of 3). I use the stove at night when I get cold and switch to a heating band for maintenance. Usually yes, sometimes no, especially in strong winds. Switch back to the oven, heat everything, then switch back. Will it heat up your trainer? Perhaps if the walls are composite and the sliding seals are in excellent condition. I don't, and foils don't. But it still works great. It has already significantly reduced my propane usage. And yes, a thermostat/control relay box is required to connect. Or a lot of ingenuity that your insurance company won't appreciate, no matter how much the lizard tells you they love you.
