They were just installed so I can't comment on their durability yet. But have you ever been told that DIY is easy, only to find it harder due to stuck screws, stuck spots, hard-to-release parts after years of use, and the like? Installation was one of the few tasks that was as easy as advertised, if not easier. I jumped out to install them during the break of a World Cup game and came back in well before the second half started. It was so easy that I wondered if I had done something wrong. I can confirm that they are very strong. 4 stars for ease of installation and durability. Maybe a fifth star for the year if they still keep the hood up. UPDATE: A year later and still holding up.
