I bought it for my 9 year old granddaughter.
Bought for my 9 year old granddaughter who I taught to sew on a regular sewing machine. Since NCOC was made for a child, I figured she could use it to sew without my supervision. This was not the case. It was very difficult for her to knit and use alone. If I have to supervise their sewing projects, I prefer to let them sew on a regular sewing machine.
