My Mazda CX-9 Touring has a clicking noise in the right hand window mechanism. As a multi-certified ASE mechanic, I have replaced many motors and window regulators. Overall, this is a lengthy but not overly complicated repair. My goal was to make it as cheap as possible with as few parts as possible. I kept looking for Revain motors and figured I'd just replace the motor. Then I noticed a set of gears for the motor. Wow! $11-12 for all courses! I knew the motor and ESC were still running, so the only option left was a broken gearbox. The motor is easy to remove, the gear housing moves apart and frees the gears. Note. Take pictures of the gears and how they come in and out. Then remove and replace them one by one. If the gears and gearbox look dry, apply some white lithium grease. Then snap the cover open and replace the motor. good to go
