Sometimes you just can't buy an OEM, I'm in the business of replacing a Raptor 660 engine with another engine and this kit was perfect. First I made a throttle cable with bike wire, which is galvanized wire with the same diameter as in this kit. The throttle body turned heavily and opened almost completely. The description of this kit states that the cable is a 7x7 strand and after some research I found that this type of strand is more flexible due to the way it is constructed. I watched a video on YouTube on how to solder the cable ends and it worked the first time. Place a 1.5 x 0.5 metal cap in a vise, use a flashlight to heat the bottom of the cap and melt the solder, thread the wire through the end of the wire, then rub the end of the wire with it a little a small screwdriver, Dipped the cable end in acetone to clean it, after it dried I melted some flux, dipped the cable end in, then dipped in the cap and finished soldering. Clamped the end of the cable in a vise and tightened the cable very tight and it is very reliable. Also, I only had to attach one end of the cable as a small end of the cable was already attached to one end of the cable from the kit and I could use one of the ends of the cable in the kit to slide it over the cable. The twist grip choke works as well or even better than the OEM. Very happy with this kit. It's nice when something just works.
