This is the fourth probe I have and was made just a few months before it failed. I've been told this is due to poor motor grounding on the Duramax motors, but I've checked all the grounds and even added a ground to no avail. And I don't understand why it worked for 3 months and then just stopped working. Some days it reads around 100 degrees when accelerating or pulling a load, other days it reads 2000 degrees when the truck is in the driveway. The Edge CTS monitors are great for everything else, but I'll just move on to a rack-mounted sensor to monitor my balls. I installed an EGT auto sensor in my other Duramax and it has been running flawlessly for the past 8 years. So I would recommend this route.
