Review on 🔋 DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Vacuum: Powerful and Portable Wet/Dry Cleaning Solution (DCV517B) by Mike Wachtel

The vacuum cleaner arrived yesterday and I found that it was unusable in less than 10 minutes. I'm embarrassed to own this gear, and while I own quite a few yellow tools, I'm considering switching to Milwaukee before getting too deep into the DeWalt tool line. 1) Suction power is mediocre (none) for its size and weight. better than the old Dust Buster PDAs), but the noise is extreme! He's big and loud. I wouldn't use this without earbuds and I was an artillery officer :/2) Overall ergonomics not great. long gone. Once you attach the battery it will be quite heavy and the weight distribution will be uneven, especially if you try to hold the device with one hand while vacuuming with the extended hose. This mode puts quite a bit of strain on the user's wrist as the base of the hose is attached too far from the handle. And the nozzle is not detachable! It's part of a molded chassis so disconnecting the hose limits vacuuming to just the bare end of the hose. There's no place to carry attachments and they're not included, but you'll have to figure something out to have portability again. 3) The dust bin is so small that the filter is directly in the collected dirt. Once you remove the trash can, that filter is still clogged with balls of dust, and now they're falling all over the place because you're keeping both hands busy. Finally, this container cannot be removed without maintaining a vacuum. In addition, the dust container has a hooked edge all around the inside so that the contents do not spill out. Most of the waste is caught by the edge and has to be removed by hand. Stupid, stupid design and a complete mess 4) I regret that I underestimated other reviewers who discussed how the exhaust smell interferes with vacuuming. There were enough positive reviews to suggest this was some sort of user error. Not so. Sawdust, pet hair and even fine sand are carried around your property, including in the air. The vacuum cleaner simply cannot function as advertised.
