I ordered this contour gauge thinking we would use it for home projects but the main reason I bought it is because I thought it would work well in my pottery workshop . If I'm making a pot on a wheel and want to reproduce its shape, I can press it against the finished pot, draw a curve, create a pattern, and reproduce it again. I bought this for Christmas and my whole family has used it around the house to "measure" things like doors, chair legs and crown molding. We had a great time and many of you want to too. It is great! I haven't had a chance to actually USE it yet, but I put it on a surface and can see how it will work for me!
