Mainly used as a tool bag. Helped me shift some weight to the middle of the bike on tour and it's still good to have tools for everyday use if something breaks. Plenty of room for every tool and plenty of room for extra chain and straps. It is protected from water, but you must remember to fully zip it up. If I needed to stash something of value in it I would loosely wrap it in another bag to be absolutely safe, but that was when I was in extreme conditions. I'm surprised when the gear holds up and doesn't fall off. except for the usage and conditions. This has not been torn or punctured yet and the straps and zips are fully intact. It has some sort of rubber lining on the inner walls that hasn't deteriorated and keeps the oil from seeping into the bag itself. It will probably take many more years.
