These siphons work very well if used and applied correctly: good pressure and a relatively clean solution. I use them for standard greenhouse feed and buy a new one about every three years (last was in 2017). I think they eventually clog. I add a commercially available dry fertilizer to the solution and something keeps crystallizing out (I see it in the aquarium). However, these blue plastic siphons last much longer than the bronze siphons without clogging for my use and are inexpensive enough that I don't worry about buying a new one every three years at this price. I also found that using a high capacity circuit breaker was necessary, but from the start of the workout the system worked very well and was stable.
