My son is 12 years old, tall and thin with long arms. Due to his long torso and long arms, I ordered plus sizes so he doesn't get too short. I ordered size 14/16 in this coat and although it's a bit big on him it's long enough for his torso and arms so I'm happy and he'll grow up to the rest quickly. He also has a long neck and had trouble with the fake hoods but this one fits perfectly. He likes green and black colors, pockets and elegant zippers. There is fabric over the zipper to protect the chin. It feels like the coat will be very warm. It washed well in the washing machine and I hung it to dry as the label said. Our only issue is that the zippered chest pocket is either ripped on the inside or not sewn on at all, so anything he puts in that pocket ends up in the lining of his coat. I'm glad I checked it out beforehand. I have to sew it.
