This is a very smart little device and I highly recommend it. I would give 5 stars except the paper feed can be a bit trickier than my old Fujitsu ScanSnap and even now when I open a scanned document it seems that multiple programs need to be activated to open the document, so each one Sometimes it takes longer. For example, with paper feeding: it can scan a page, but the device will stop at the end of the page with a "double feed" error if the paper has jagged edges, such as an envelope, or if I'm using a fax document, media. This should give you the option to save that image, but it doesn't. If you change the scanner's feed setting from "Ultrasonic Detection" to "Length Detection", pages with thicker or rough edges or transparent fax carrier sheets will be used. It's easier to scan a credit card with this Canon than my old Fujitsu ScanSnap if you set the paper exit switch in the bottom right corner to the down position so your feeder exits the bottom of the machine and doesn't try to roll it securely. to the front bracket.
