Best Home Hair Care Product

My mother introduced me to Turbie-Twist hair towels when I was a teenager, and I doubt I've used a regular hair towel in the last 25 years. Not only is it great to wash my hair first and then hang it out to dry while I wash my body (conditioner can cause back breakouts), but it also limits washing by not using massive towels exclusively for the hair. have purchased the same brand name from different suppliers over the years and the quality of their products and materials varies greatly depending on the source. Some were thin terry towels that didn't absorb much, others just held my hair up, others were thick microfibers that caught all the hair and lint and never dried my hair out as they just soaked up the water and held it there. Plush terry was best because it was soft and very dried out, but was actually hard to find. Years ago when I was dying my hair dark brown I bought half a dozen black microfibers and they served their utility function for a while but the elastic that holds the end of the towel started to fail and I lost a number for years too though I have traveled and stayed in hotels or family houses. They are indispensable not only at home but also when travelling. I recently purchased a polyte bath towel and am very happy with the quality and type of terry fabric it is made from. It was very thick and dries quickly so I wanted to trade my soft but non-absorbent bamboo towels for this brand. Not ready to pull the trigger to fill up my entire linen closet, and I still needed new hair towels, I went ahead and bought them, although I doubt they looked a little plain and useless. The button tab to secure the end with a loop isn't fully adjustable, and the button threads are notoriously loose. At first I was surprised that they seemed thin to me. They are very soft but I figured they would just soak in and not soak into dry hair. I have fine and silky wavy hair and there is LOTS of it and it takes a long time to dry. A lot of stylists got frustrated when it took them 45 minutes to blow dry my hair and I still left it damp. Same with hair dye, my hair literally soaks up the product like a sham. I usually even dry my hair with a double towel, using one for initial absorption and then the other to pull in more when that towel is doing its best. Imagine my surprise that they really do an amazing job! The perfect blend of fabric and texture that wicks moisture away from my hair and keeps absorbing it to keep it dry and not just keep it dry. The BIG deal is the size too! I have a huge Irish head: I don't like hats and wigs. This towel has enough room to completely cover my head AND length to keep my thick hair down to my waist. Another famous brand always failed when my hair fell out beyond the length of the bra and I had to wrap the ends in a towel again. In fact, I can style my hair the way it should with the Polyte hair towels. From a safety point of view the buttonhole and buttonhole is fine, you only have to twist the towel a bit for it to hold properly and even then it's a little looser than I would have liked, but it does the job. Since I only wash my hair once or twice a week, my hair towels can be like a shower cap when I shower. The other day I covered my dry hair with a towel and it got tangled up in the middle of the shower because I don't put it that hard on dry hair. Conclusion: I would recommend and buy again!
