The installation instructions are very simple. I downloaded the MyDLink app for my mobile phone and followed the instructions to connect to Wi-Fi etc. Everything seemed to be working fine. I received a message on my device that the water test worked. However, I waited 10 minutes and then exposed the sensor to about 1/2 inch of water. The instructions say to wait 30 seconds before the alarm or app notification goes off. The giver was in the water for a full 10 minutes and there was no warning or alarm! Called their tech support. About 10 minutes of waiting for help, then 30+ minutes of calls to tech support where I reset the device, change the Wi-Fi/data settings on my phone, remove and reinsert the batteries, etc. Nothing helped. The sensor has been in the water for a long time and so far there have been no warnings or alarms. He will be returned.
