Review on Daystar Toyota Cruiser Transmissions KT09127BK by Michael Syph

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The 5th generation 4Runner is the ultimate rear lift solution.

I ordered these for my 2012 4Runner complete with a Bilstein 5100 up front. I paired them with Bilstein shocks and couldn't be happier. It is imperative that you upgrade the shocks if you add them as the extra length and spring compression make riding without them very uncomfortable. With improved dampers, it drives better than the original. This gave me about 1.75 inches of total travel with the upgraded shocks. With the front 5100s set at 2.5 inches, my truck sits almost flat and the rear is about 1/4 inch higher. I am without a spring compressor. Do one side at a time. Not very easy to put in the second when the first is there. What I did was unscrew the panhard rod from the axle mount, which made room for the axle to drop some more. Once you have the first spring in place, lift the end of the already installed axle. By pushing that side up, you're forcing the unpinned side down. I then used my body weight to push the axle further down and flexed the spring there. Also, make sure to put some white lithium or silicone grease between the new spring and the bump stop to keep it from squeaking! Good luck!
