Please note the dimensions of this sieve before you buy! The item is labeled "Long Handle", where "Long" is relative! According to the item description 12 inches with a handle minus 8.5 inches without a handle equals a 3.5 inch handle. Personally, I don't think 3.5 inches is "long" - I mean, it's enough to last, but an extra inch or two would make the design feel a lot better in my opinion. I don't think this has anything to do with functionality, but the description of the item states that "the wide hole screen is available in both square and round configurations". I've searched and searched but can't find any round pump holes in this screen. All holes are either square (approx. 2mm x 2mm) or rectangular (approx. 4mm x 3mm). Functionally, it's not a problem for me, but it's worth mentioning. My only and biggest complaint is with the subject's statement "SITS SAFELY ON YOUR POTS". Apart from the grammatical error [sit?], an 8 inch pan. Any larger one I use for pasta all the time and the strainer keeps slipping off the handle and falling into the pan. Otherwise I am very satisfied with this item.
