TL;DR - This is a good filament, but probably not within the 0.02mm tolerance. One of the threads had a small leak in the vacuum bag on arrival. I found out about the sale of this thread on the internet. People were skeptical for reasons I won't get into in this review, so I decided to give it a try as a guinea pig. I was surprised at the print quality with this filament and will probably buy more from this brand. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the gray thread wasn't sealed as tightly as the black and gold threads that came in the 3 pack. I tried to capture it in a photo but I don't think it turned out well. It was some air; However, each filament spool was packaged in a separate silica gel pouch to keep things clean and dry, so I was hoping it would work. Next thing I did was grab a caliper and take some measurements on the black thread. I have 1.75mm in several places but it was 1.73mm in one place and 1.70mm in another. I'm probably within some error limit of my caliper though. However, I'm not 100% sure if the tolerance of this thread is within 0.02mm. It's probably closer to 0.05mm if I had to guess, but most measurements I took were between 1.73mm and 1.75mm. My biggest concern is print quality. This material prints well. I have 2 mostly in stock Ender 3 V2. I printed a bank on both. Settings were as follows: Layer height 0.2mm 225 degrees hotend / 70 degrees bed for first layer at 25mm/s 210 degrees hot end / 70 degrees bed for other layers at 50mm/s 20% infill Seen and seen illuminated the boats look rougher than they appear in real life. The thread has a nice sheen. The boats have proven to be on par and on par with other PLA+ brands I have used. They look and feel great. I also printed a camera lens cover for my dad. Due to the style of the camera, it had a lot of protrusions due to some grooves on the lens. It also worked out very well, despite a slight bleed at the start of the border print. Haven't tried the gold yet but the gray and black I got are great. I will definitely be buying more JAYO yarns as long as they maintain this level of quality. For those threads alone it was a pretty good deal and I would be even happier if the gold thread was of the same quality. If I could I would rate it a 4.5/5. Air in the gray floss bag and probably missing a tolerance of 0.02mm doesn't make it a 5 for me. However, this filament works well on my printers and I will be buying more. For the price I think it's worth a try.
