Review on πŸ”Œ Transparent Silicone Seal Strip: Efficient Stripping for All Your Needs by Jared Bradford

That's great. We save so much!

Our side door has always let in cold air. We'll eventually replace it, but for now we've added silicone sealing strips to the top and both sides of the door. I used to sit here (upstate New York) with ice cold ankles! Now even at -15 degrees there is no breeze. We use less propane even though it was colder this year than last year. I cut the corners and glued the sticky part to the door. The free-moving silicone easily adheres to the door jamb. On the left, it wedged itself between the door and jamb, sealing them better than caulk. I trimmed around the loops.

Pros
  • The viscosity of the silicone sealing tape decreases in winter. You can keep the protective film in a warm place for some time before use. In addition, it is recommended to wipe the surface before use to avoid dust leading to viscosity reduction.
