Love it! It's not perfect, but it's fantastic for certain types of work

I'll tell you right now - MUST watch Milescraft's video. Otherwise, you will probably misuse this thing for months, just like I did. This tool works very well and is a fantastic cheap way to start using dowels. Pros: - Very cheap - Lightweight - Comes with a carrying case and additional accessories - Easy enough to use once you get the hang of it - Easy to replicate anywhere on the board (like in my photos for example - all those 2x6s connect together 3/8 dowels - 10 dowels on each side of the board except for the outside edge, and then the two large beveled corners are joined again with 3/8.) Cons: - Fairly limited in minimum and maximum size - As far as perfect centering and flatness, requires this requires a great deal of effort on the part of the user. - There is no way to clamp and drill, so just rely on yourself to keep it straight and centered. I definitely recommend this for quick and dirty operations where you need to turn off lots of connections quickly and without precision. Also a great tool if, like me, you want to get carpentry work done easily and cheaply. This tool definitely has its limitations, so don't expect THIS to be a domino killer. But if you're in the market for something more representative than pocket holes, this is a step in the right direction. I'll probably upgrade at some point, but for now it's fast enough to incorporate into my workflow and actually add some power when I don't feel like doing proper mortise and tenon.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I really have no complaints about it, it's ok
