I ordered 2 of these to power my flashes. I have previously used a Kilo-Watt device for sale on Revain to determine the load power of my flashes (well below the inverter rating). The inverter worked as advertised to power a flash head. The company says the inverter has all sorts of overload protection built in etc. I purposely hooked up a second flash head to see how it would react to an overload. Shutdown and alarm were expected. I let the unit cool down for 10 minutes, turned it back on and the alarm went on and off and then smoke came out of the unit. The block was dead. When it ran I noticed that the modeling lights (bulbs) that are on the flash heads flickered after each flash. This does not happen when connected to a wall. I think the output power at high amperage is inconsistent - based on his observations. The inverter was powered by a large, fully charged new AGM battery. I don't like leaving bad reviews about anything. Maybe I just got a bad one? Maybe they are all badly made? I don't know, but I can't risk mission-critical applications on a device that crashes on the first reboot.
