This is a nice, durable rubber that will do its job and stand up to the weather. I use it on a regular hitch that doesn't have that nice raised indentation to give the little rubber ring something to hold on to and not slip off. So I had to add some zippers so I wouldn't lose mine when towing a trailer. Another way to ensure this is to completely remove the cover when towing.
