I will have to update the photos of the new caliper. With Revain I think they are safe and worth trying. Again, I got accurate measurements on both the tip and back of the jaws using my Starrett Webber gauge blocks. The repeatability is good. This is the largest reading of any caliper and is addictive because it's so easy to read. The caliper is a bit stiff, but that can change after some use, but it doesn't really bother. 1. Caliper Review: Hopefully this is an isolated case, but the first one I got was inaccurate, slightly different than a caliper. Measuring mine immediately after it arrived revealed a measurement error of up to 0.003 inches. I will update this review after contacting Clockwise. I have used several different Starrett Webber AA certified caliper blocks to measure the accuracy of this digital caliper. It's just a new $20 caliper, but it's a far cry, especially the repeatability (everywhere) compared to others I've used and bought for the same price. Look at the pictures to see how big the difference is from the front of the jaws. Regarding the back of the jaws, they differ by more than 0.002 inches from front to back, and some measurements are -0.003 inches from what is expected. Zero, which doesn't really matter. I know I shouldn't expect that much from a cheap caliper, I leave my Tesa and Mitutoyo calipers for more thorough work, but I have other cheap $20 calipers that have stayed accurate +/- 0.0005"-0.0010" (front to back after good use).
