Great addition to my kitchen inventory
I know my oven is a bit cold (apartment appliance) so most timed recipes leave the food undercooked to some degree . I had a pocket oven thermometer to check doneness, but I had to learn the hard way that the dial cover was plastic and was not compatible with sticking into a piece of meat and leaving it there while it cooked. This oven thermometer works great. Its dial cover is heat resistant (glass?) and the enlarged dial with a moving pointer for the desired temperature makes it easy to monitor my food for the right core temperature while cooking.
