GREAT for MacBook Air 2020, although limited to USB3.

GREAT for the 2020 MacBook Air, although limited to USB3 speeds. So I needed more ports for my 2020 MacBook Air. I bought a MacBook Air at the lowest price for Apple app development. This hub is a great $40 solution! I have a 2020 Samsung 49 inch gaming monitor that allows me to display a huge layout for app design, graphics, video editing, etc. And I want to use my thin/flat Pro Mac keyboard and Kensington Slimblade trackball. I also have a MacPro and use it with this large monitor for video editing, graphic design and stock trading! :^) For my 2020 MacBook Air you pretty much need to connect the 49" display directly to one of the 2 USBC ports AND you need to power the MacBook which is connected to the other USBC port on the MacBook Air. So there are no more ports to connect my keyboard, trackball, USB stick and other devices! This hub is a cost-effective solution. or I could spend another $1000 to get more ports (MacBook Pro). With this hub, I can connect my display to a USBC port on my MacBook Air, this hub to a USBC port, and my MacBook Air's power, keyboard, and trackball are connected to the hub. everything works great! It's also a small and durable hub. I tested the speed of this adapter and although it has 2 USBC ports, one is for power only and the other is for peripherals. When I tested a VERY fast USBC drive with one USBC port on this hub and three USB3 ports on this hub, I got the same USB3 speed. So if you need USBC speeds, you'll need to connect directly to one of the MacBook Air's USBC ports. JOHNAVATAR.com
