Review on Garmin Mount Quick Release Quarter by Jake Davies

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Watch out for those o-rings and incorrect mounting of the mount

The mount seems to have the wrong tolerances, so the Garmin is difficult to snap into place initially and requires some force a few times. The rubber pad slips despite being molded to fit the rear mold of the plastic, but that's because it's not able to secure the plastic mount. But the rubber bands are really terrible. Just realized I bought this set of replacement brackets in March and am looking for another replacement 4 months later. The original mount and rubber rings I bought from Garmin still work great, but I have more than one bike and want more mounts. I literally broke the o-ring while driving. Luckily as the other O-ring was still there (you need 2 to attach it to the handlebars) it didn't fall off my bike but then I had to stuff the Garmin into the already filled pockets of the jersey. You have to sell it with a dozen o-rings when the stuff is that low quality.
