WOW just WOW: Camera Lenses

Got this lens today and put it on my Nikon D800. I'd read enough reviews to already know the functions of many of the buttons, zoom lock, etc., but I was mentally prepared to tweak the Tamron Tap-In console to make it sharp to my very picky eye. nope This baby was perfect out of the box. I LOVE THIS LENS. I snapped shots of birds and a few test shots of interesting objects, like the temperature gauge on a grill and my car's license plate, from 200 feet away - everything was pin-sharp handheld. The color is juicy, no distortion. Yes, he is heavy. It's also 600mm. So yes, it's going to be difficult. BUT VERY difficult. The build quality is excellent, everything is well balanced. Note that I've heard and experienced that Tamron sometimes just "gets you a bad copy". If you're not getting great results, you have a bad copy and don't try to convince yourself that you're just being picky. send it back With this lens you can count on perfection. I have that! Update: Works great with Nikon Z7 adapter and FTZ - lightning fast focus and VR remains EXCELLENT.
