Full compliance with the manufacturer's assurances, high quality.

Good lens for the price. There are competitors. For example, Nikon 200-500, which costs a little more and the picture is a little nicer, as my colleague noted. There is also a Sigma 150-600 . but I don’t bother comparing lenses, otherwise I won’t have time to shoot. I bought the lens because Tamron gave it to me for testing a couple of times and I was satisfied. I tried the first version with another well-known photographer (which the Market forbids to mention in the review), who made this lens

Pros
  • Relatively lightweight. Good image stabilizer. Acceptable image quality. Good protection (more on that below). Price.
Cons
  • The price interrupts the shortcomings, but they are worth mentioning: Large zoom ring travel Focusing is not fast enough and can miss, but it's also in the camera. Image quality seems soapy There is an inaccuracy in the markings on the lens itself. The points indicating the rotation of the tripod foot do not match on the lens and the foot ring itself. That is, on the one hand they coincide, but on the other they do not. (If you don’t understand what I mean, then it’s okay, it doesn’t affect the shooting).

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I have been contemplating my choice for shooting wildlife for some time. There are ideal options from Nikon - these are 200-400 f / 4 and 400 f / 2.8 But not only are they cosmically expensive and sometimes it's scary to go into the fields with them :) they are also guns. In terms of size and weight. There are also Sigma and Nikon 200-500, as he wrote. But it is still heavier, which is very important if you walk through forests and meadows for both your back and neck and arms. There is a Nikon…

Pros
  • Noticeably lighter than competitors, which is very important for "running" photography. 600mm is a very important focal length for wildlife photography. It can be obtained in different ways, but with the help of this glass, it is probably the most convenient and most budgetary. Alternatives are either more expensive, or heavier, or do not allow you to vary the focal length when you need it. Good stabilization.
Cons
  • The picture, of course, is worse than on the native Nikonovsky 200-500. More soapy, the field is less even. I had to shoot at competitions on this Nikon, so I can say for sure. But for wildlife, you are most often interested in the center. It becomes more or less sharp from aperture 8. The levers for autofocus, stabilization, focusing distance are often touched by a case and they switch. Focus is not super fast, sometimes it does not catch the target in time. The native hood and leg are monstrous, significantly reducing mobility.

Excellent lens, pay attention to the weight

This is excellent. A bit heavy in the 4lb range but manageable. The vibration compensation works surprisingly well. Used this on a recent trip to the Everglades and was not disappointed. The details are clear and precise. The only problem I had was chasing focus in busy scenes. Overall a great lens.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Low repairability

Auto focus problems, return

The first day after buying my Nikon D850, the auto focus gets stuck. You have to turn the camera off and on again for it to work again. This happened several times. Unacceptable for a wildlife lens where time is of the essence. If you read online forums you will find that this is a problem with this lens. I'm returning it in favor of the Nikon 200-500. Update: After a month of using the Nikon 200-500 I can say that I am very happy with it. Use sharp, fast and accurate autofocus. The goalkeeper.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Available in white only

Fantastic value for camera lenses

I am very happy with this lens. The lens is fairly sharp and the autofocus is fast but sometimes misses. I would recommend using the plug-in console along with the lens. The lens was front-focusing at medium and long distances. After adjustment with the console, the lens works fantastic. The vibration cancellation is decent, but I prefer Nikon's VR. Setting stabilization priority in the viewfinder can result in blurry images, and setting recording priority makes it difficult to take pictures…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • No auto mode

Great lens at the right price!

Great lens for the price. I use it with Nikon D850. This is a moderately heavy lens, but you can use it handheld. Photos are fantastic even at 600mm. However, at full range you can see some vignetting, but I'm no pro so it doesn't bother me too much. The image stability and the new pan function are well suited for bird photography. I used a Sigma 150-600 on a Canon 5D Mark1v and this one works much better. The big difference is in the image quality and works very well in low light conditions…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • No mold required

WOW just WOW: Camera Lenses

Got this lens today and put it on my Nikon D800. I'd read enough reviews to already know the functions of many of the buttons, zoom lock, etc., but I was mentally prepared to tweak the Tamron Tap-In console to make it sharp to my very picky eye. nope This baby was perfect out of the box. I LOVE THIS LENS. I snapped shots of birds and a few test shots of interesting objects, like the temperature gauge on a grill and my car's license plate, from 200 feet away - everything was pin-sharp handheld…

Better than expected!

I've always wanted more range for my photos, but the price has always been out of reach. Even used prices were too high to justify them. I'm an amateur so paying even $1000 for a used lens was just unreasonable. Then Revain started offering a free 5-month payment plan for certain items and this made it into the program while it was on sale. Now I wouldn't buy it just for the deal. If the lens performed poorly, you still have to pay a heavy price for it. I've researched this lens extensively and

Nikon 200-500 replacement

I have a Nikon 200-500 but this came as a replacement. I rarely use the 200-500 due to its weight and bulkiness. My choice was between 500 f/4 (probably used or Sigma) or this 150-600. I opted for 150-600 during the day and 70-200 f/2.8e (at 1.4x or 1.7x) in the morning or evening. I wouldn't wear both at the same time. That gives me 6.5 pounds, or 5.8 pounds with a d500 and a TC or two. I would weigh about 9 pounds with a Sigma 500/4. If the weight wasn't an issue for me, I'd go for the 500/4.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Incredible telephoto zoom workhorse

Some negative reviews made me apprehensive about this lens, but after extensive use over the last month I have nothing but praise. This lens is sharp. Grab it sharp. Ridiculously sharp. Its focal plane at 600mm is very thin even at f/8, so any front/back focusing will render shots unusable. Before heading into the field, make sure your copy is good with a test strip to avoid disappointment. Mine worked right out of the box, and the insanely fast autofocus finds focus to load instantly. It's…

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Upgrades available

The build quality of the lens is pleasantly pleasing. Everything is done according to the mind, reliably, the plastic of the case is pleasant, non-soapy. The surface of the inner lenses of the lens is coated with Nano-compounds, which provide a higher light transmission coefficient. Compared to the previous model A011, the picture is characterized by almost perfect color reproduction and sharpness.

Pros
  • Long range for a huge range of focal lengths, very powerful optical stabilizer.
Cons
  • Low lens aperture, resolution at the periphery of frames in the range of focal lengths of 150-300mm.
