I just completed a rustic Shou Sugi Ban table for my wife and I have to say these grinding wheels are fantastic! I used all 3 grit but ended up only using 80 and 120 as the higher grit circle took too long. This project was for an 8 foot table of 4-2x10 so there was plenty of wood to sand. I ended up buying a hammer drill so I could easily adjust the trigger and grind with both hands. It took a lot of effort and many hours of work, but it turned out amazing. I wanted the natural yellow pine to look like a real grove and decided to just add a few coats of polyurethane for the finish. I sanded between the first and last coats with a 120 grit sanding disc and the last coat looked like glass which is what I wanted. All in all, these things worked great. My only caveat is if you use them for a while and try to change the direction of the drill you will scratch the wood and possibly lose a few strings/hairs in the process.
