Like many others, I bought these brushes to scrape off charred wood. They did their job, but after only a few minutes of work, both the gray and orange brushes started shedding blades. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the plastic hub had cracked, so that the pair of knives was not securely fixed. I just completed a rustic Shou Sugi Ban table for my wife and I have to say these grinding wheels are fantastic! I used all 3 grit but ended up only using 80 and 120 as the higher grit circle took too long. This project was for an 8 foot table of 4-2x10 so there was plenty of wood to sand. I ended up buying a hammer drill so I could easily adjust the trigger and grind with both hands. It took a lot of effort and many hours of work, but it turned out amazing.
