I have a wooden floor below and this replacement makes a loud bang every time it walks over it. It should sit a little lower than the original. You wouldn't hear anything with the original part, but with this part you'll hear bang-bang-bang when it hits the ground. I could just return it and pay extra money to get the original. I'll see if I can try to adjust it a bit better but I can hear it upstairs when it's downstairs. If you have carpets or smooth floors, this may not be a problem.
