It works, the knobs feel solid and the cables are interchangeable unlike the original Z-2300 control box. I used the original for over 10 years before I started frequently pulling out the 1/8" aux line to change input sources and after 4 months the left channel stopped working. What should have been a simple cable replacement solution is not possible in the original control box as the cable is permanently attached to the end of the box. But you can use a standard 1/8" PC Aux cable/lime green PC audio/TRS 3.5mm cable (VGA cable can also be substituted) with this unit, which I recommend , as it comes with a cheap aux cord that sometimes causes a buzz and only lasted about six months when used 8 hours a day and changing input sources once a day. All in all, this is a good replacement part to keep your Logitech PC stereo working.
