Review on Sierra International 18 1953 2 Manifold by Everette Jean

Well after 35 years it looks like my factory Mercruiser headers have finally given up. Sierra headers are a quality replacement. NOTE. I ordered 2 collectors. Both came with a manifold to head gasket, a manifold to riser gasket, steel and brass plugs for all connections, a lower plastic elbow with drain and screws that go into the head. The kit did not include riser bolts, which I assume are not used in all installations. My local ACE gear had cleats that worked perfectly. NOTE #2: The surfaces of the gaskets were not smooth due to all the paint that was on them. Checking with a ruler showed all the gaps. 50 grit sandpaper on the block quickly removed all the paint and made it as flat as possible. I didn't mind a little prep work as it kept the surfaces from rusting and kept them nice and clean.
