It worked for me and so far so good.
For a few months my dishwasher has had a problem with the soap dish not coming out. This used to be rare, so I figured it might have something to do with us not placing the dishes correctly. Later it is simply not exhibited or only partially exhibited. After some research I decided to replace this part before I ditched my 5 year old LG dishwasher (LDP7774ST). I found an installation video on YouTube and the swap took me probably 15-20 minutes. It's been 4 washes since replacing the dispenser and I'm satisfied. Clean dishes every time. I recommend this product.
