💧 LG MCU61861001 Dispenser: Efficient and Reliable Water Dispensing Solution Review

Pretty easy replacement by removing the front panel from the dishwasher. Fixed an issue that prevented the soap dispenser from opening.

At first I was nervous about buying this because I didn't see anywhere that it would fit my LG model. Looks the same, so I took a chance. I'm glad I did it because it's beautifully executed. I saved money because someone came to diagnose and then fix.

The part fits perfectly but the video on YouTube is a bit wrong. There are two screws in the bottom left and right corners that I couldn't unscrew. So my wife held the front cover while I pushed a screwdriver through to remove the six screws. The rest was exactly as shown in the video. The whole process took about 45 minutes.

My dispenser would not open and when I opened the lid I saw that it was clogged with detergent around the dispenser opening mechanism. Replaced dispenser and connected the two electrical contacts and it worked great. LG is garbage disposal machines. I think half my dishwasher is spare parts but this worked great.

Our soap dish suddenly stopped closing. I'm guessing we probably have about 2000 cycles by this point. 7 years. It fits our LG perfectly. I couldn't tell the new from the old. Fits perfectly. No problems installing. Hope this helps buy a few more years before we lose the main engine. I will be happy if we can benefit from it for 10 years. For us this is a daily tool, especially during COVID, we run it 10 times a week.

I would like to say that I liked the product but it arrived broken and cracked so I had to return it. It reminds me of a Samsonite advert from the 1970s of a gorilla scattering its luggage around the zoo. For some reason, a part in transit suddenly ended up on the undeliverable list and is being returned to the sender. I can only imagine why this happened. Needless to say, I look forward to a refund if this doesn't go wrong. PS I only voted 1 star because this thing made me.
