OEM Fuel Cap also fixed P0430 Code

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2wd 3.6L 2wd 3.6L - 3 months ago I started turning on the check engine light (CEL), bought a code scanner, showed a dreaded P0430 catalytic converter below threshold, everything I read suggested that that I had to get a new Ones CAT (two at JGC) and 4 new 02 sensors, dealer value over $2400. I was sick. But then the CEL would cycle off and on again on the next drive cycle. Strange. It went like this for 2 months. Then a month ago my fuel tank light came on so I got this stock gas tank and noticed how much better it seals when tightened. Hm. immediately my gas cap light went out BUT ALSO after about 2 days (another drive cycle) my CEL for P0430 disappeared and didn't come back. Relax.
